My wife and I stayed here for our first anniversary and had a wonderful time setting around getting to know Linda and Greg. Driving out to the property through the Gorge and into Hood River is beautiful. Then you turn down what appears to be an industrial area road to find an oasis. Driving up you pass the chicken coup and you round the corner and you're suddenly miles away from anywhere. It is almost magical. The beautiful craftsman style bungalow with its big welcoming front porch is almost to good to be true. Pickles the porch cat was even there to greet us. Linda gave us a few ideas about places to try in town and her advice was spot on. The pizza at Double Mountain Brewery was outstanding! Our room had a fountain just outside the window that added a great bit of atmosphere. Being just off of the living room I was up early for some coffee before we set down for breakfast! We were the only two there the first morning and we had such a wonderful conversation with Greg and Linda about music and life. The breakfast was also just delicious. We look forward to visiting again, and I will come with music in hand!

I don't write reviews too often, but I love this place. Came here as a early birthday getaway for my husband, and saw all the great reviews for Seven Oaks. When we first arrived we were greeted by Linda and her husband Joe. We were invited in to sit and talked with the two, and let me just say, they are one of the nicest couple. Very welcoming and have the most pleasant stories. My husband and Linda are both from the South and it was nice to hear them swap stories...They are also very knowledgeable about the area. Unfortunately, we came on the weekend that was rainy. Nonetheless, the yard is beautiful and the cottage and the main house as well. In our cottage is a queen size bed, a tiny, but cute kitchen and bathroom. It's very quiet, clean and the floors are heated. I'm excited about breakfast. Linda said she is going to make breakfast burritos...Even though this is our first day, I think we will be coming back when there's nicer weather.

The food and the accommodations were stellar. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were the finest quality. Every detail was elegant, right down to the soaps. The breakfast was healthy, filling and Linda made every effort to meet everyone's taste and diet requirements. The family style atmosphere and garden were perfect. My husband loved the proximity to the golf course. The nearby wineries and the town are inviting. The whole community was awesome and this is a great place to get away for a while!

It is not often I am moved to write a review, good or bad, of a place I have stayed. But our experience while staying in Hood River with Linda and Joe at Seven Oaks B and B was so exceptional I needed to let people know about it. Seven Oaks is a beautiful house on a serene piece of land. The rooms are lovely and impeccably clean. And the breakfasts they make are amazing. But even more important than all of that is the kind of people Joe and Linda are. My family stayed there back in August while on a 5 day biking trip through the Columbia Gorge. On our 3rd day, intending to leave Hood River and travel to our next destination, my daughter and I crashed into one another while traveling at high speed. I had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance for a possible broken elbow. With my husband taking care of me, Joe and Linda drove several miles in their own truck, picked up my kids and their bikes and took them back to the B and B. They graciously let us stay a second night without hesitation as I couldn't ride my bike that day as planned to the next hotel. BUT, despite our many offers to pay, they would not charge us for the second night AND they fed us a wonderful breakfast the next morning on what was supposed to be their day off. And because my daughter and I still really couldn't ride that next day, Linda drove the two of us with our bikes in her truck over 20 miles to our last hotel. I honestly can't imagine more gracious and kind hosts than these two. They treated us like family. We loved Hood River and look forward to staying with them again next time we visit the area (maybe not on a bike trip).

This aint your grandma's B&B!!! I am not usually a B&B fan because of the lack of privacy and the excess of pink frilly things; with Seven Oaks I got all of my needs met I found the absence of doilies and wallpaper refreshing. Greg and Linda are a charming couple who really seem to love each other and what they are doing. I love the quiet. I love the grounds. I love this B&B. My husband and I took a weekend vacation away from the kids. We were lucky enough to book the cabin which is far enough away from the house to offer privacy, if you want it, but we were still able to use the amenities. There is a hot tub, beautiful grounds, and a great vegetarian breakfast, laid by chickens with names such as Pluck-a-hontas, and Feather Locklear. There was an iPod docking station in our room and no t.v. which lead to great conversations and reading time. I am still convinced that the grounds have been charmed by fairies. I felt enchanted the by the whole experience. Just so you know... I will come back again. I only don't give them five stars because the location is a little way out of town (so worth it once you see where you are) and my husband and I woke up with back aches from the bed. This may be because the bed was a queen and we need a king. Come, enjoy, and relax.

My wife and I decided to stay here for a getaway night and we are thrilled to have picked the perfect B&B. We stayed in a cozy little cottage a few yards away from the main house. To get to the cottage we walked past the beautiful vegetable garden. The owners, Linda and Greg were very hospitable and almost seemed like family after our one night stay. They were also vey knowledgeable about the area and were able to direct us to some great wine trails. The breakfast was superb (the sweet potato waffles were excellent Greg!) and the portions plentiful. My wife and I have a dream to open our own B&B many years down the road and this is definitely the place we want to emulate.

This was my very first stay at a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. A group of friends have been coming to this B&B for a while and we coordinated a snow trip and reserved every room in the place! All 9 of us and the owners fit very comfortably. My fiancee and I arrived at 1am on a Saturday morning and the room was ready for us. A great breakfast with the best banana french toast was had the next morning to prepare us for a full day of snowboarding along with some great organic/free trade coffee that a local picks up form his travels from around the globe. Greg and Linda, the owners, we very nice people that were the perfect balance of accommodation and hands off. The jacuzzi in the back was a great relief after a few bad spills down the Ridge Line trail at Mount Hood Meadows. And because we were staying in Hood River, we got 1/2 price lift tickets (only $32 instead of $64!) and on a holiday weekend, that can't be beat. While I don't know if a B&B is for me, this experience was wonderful. The food was great, the rooms comfortable, cozy, and roomy, and plenty of room to either be with the other guys or be by yourself. I'll certainly return if I come back to Hood River.

I've stayed in several B&B's and this one is AWESOME! Excellent breakfast, beautiful setting, and very comfy beds. My husband and I can't wait to go back.
